Day 6 saw the exit of the fourth seeded Kvitova. As the Australian Open is closing to its final stages, the tumble of the seeded players continues. Federer and Kvitova are among the top seeds to have crashed out.

The top seeds Djokovic, Wawrinka, Nishikori, Raonic, Ferrer sailed through smoothly. However, Isner (19) lost to unseeded Muller. And Simon (18) and Verdasco (31) too lost their matches.
